Studio or Outdoor Portraits – What’s Best for Your Professional Photoshoot?
Thinking about updating your professional portraits but not sure whether to go for studio photos or an outdoor shoot? Both options have unique advantages, and the right choice depends on your personal style, comfort level, and how you plan to use the images. Here’s a helpful guide to make your decision easier!

The Benefits of a Studio Photoshoot
A studio session offers a calm, private environment where we can fully focus on you. It’s just the two of us—no onlookers, no distractions. That makes it an ideal choice if you’re a bit camera-shy or introverted, since you can relax without worrying about passersby. The result is a series of polished, serious and elegant portraits, perfect for LinkedIn, CVs, or a clean look for your website.
Another big advantage? We’re not dependent on the weather. Whether it’s pouring rain or bright sunshine, we can schedule your shoot any day, at any time, and create flattering lighting right in the studio.

The Advantages of Outdoor Portraits
Prefer a more natural, spontaneous vibe? An outdoor session might be the better fit. With the right location, your photos can feel vibrant, relaxed and full of life. If your business is linked to Brussels, choosing a spot in the city—like Parc du Cinquantenaire, Mont des Arts, or a charming street—can give your portraits a distinctive local flair.
Outdoor photos also tend to feel more dynamic and lifestyle-oriented, which works well for creatives, entrepreneurs, or personal brands looking for something less formal.
That said, we do need to keep an eye on the weather forecast. Rain or harsh sunlight may require rescheduling. We’ll also aim for quieter times of day to avoid crowds, especially in busy city locations.

So, Which Should You Choose?
-
Choose studio if you want privacy, timeless simplicity, and full control over lighting and timing.
-
Choose outdoors if you want a more casual feel, personality-filled backgrounds, or a sense of place—especially if Brussels plays a part in your story.
Still unsure? I’m happy to chat and help you decide what suits your brand and comfort level best.
