Where to find an affordable wedding dress in Brussels?

Weddings are expensive and it’s totally understandable you want to cut costs here and there. A wedding dress is quite expensive and at the end of the day, you’ll only wear it once and then it’ll spend the rest of its days taking place in your wardrobe. Yes, you want to look great on the day and in your photos which you’ll still enjoy years later. But maybe you can also look splendid without actually owning the dress?

Below are some places that you can check out for a budget-friendly wedding attire.

Dress Rental in Brussels

Queen To Be

Queen to be in Laeken offers you a selection of designer wedding dresses for hire. In addition, if temporary adjustments are necessary, they will then be proposed to you by their team. The price is generally one third of the original price.

Coucou Shop

You can also check out Coucou shop on Rue des Pages in Chatelain, they rent out formal dresses. Note that if you’re going for a traditional white dress, this may not be the place to be. But if you’re looking for a beautiful formal dress that’s not necessarily all white, then go have a look!

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.

Bridal shops in Brussels

Real Brides

Real Brides is a non-profit bridal store that sells donated dresses at low prices. 60% of their profit goes to charity organisation supporting women. These second-hand dresses are still in excellent state and can also be further adjusted to fit your body perfectly.

Sessun

Sessùn creates subtle and distinctive women’s fashion, full of details and subtlety. They play with volumes and materials, reinventing the classics and blurring the lines of menswear and womenswear.  They have a shop in the Rue du marché au Charbon. In the meantime you can also check out their wedding assortment on the Sessun website.

Au Louvre

This boutique in the Vlaamsesteenweg has been around since 1916.  Step in to explore the seven showcase rooms full of wedding gowns, suites and gala attire, furniture and baroque frills. The collections originate from a dozen French and German labels.

Second-hand shopping

There is a surprising amount of choice in the second hand shops. Browse through the vintage shops around Saint-Géry (for example in City Store Vintage) or in Les Petits Riens in the Rue Américaine, Ixelles. You may just find the perfect dress for less than 100 EUR.  You just need to deal with adjustments which is the same for a bought/rented gown. And if you sell it afterwards, you might even make a profit.

Rue de Brabant

The shops in this street may not offer the best quality on the market, but they are cheap. Among many other fashion items, you’ll find dresses in kitchy and colorful styles. But have a look. You never know you stumble upon that one dress that you absolutely love.

In the end it’s all a matter of priorities, but after some searching around you should definitely be able to find a wedding dress at an affordable price. Maybe you can use that money to invest in a professional photographer delivering quality photographs that you will enjoy for a lifetime? Wink wink. Kidding aside, feel free to check out the work on my website and get in touch with me if you’d like to work together!
